We live in the Shenandoah Valley and enjoy raising beef cattle as well as quality AKC Newfoundland dogs. Our first Newfoundland, Maya, began our love for the breed when my son was looking for a dog that could potentially pull a cart or sled. Maya “Willow” was named after a dog “Willow” that ran in the Iditarod years ago.

Welcome to Willow Newfoundlands!

Maya had her first litter of pups February 2014. She retired on the farm, and enjoyed meeting all those who came to visit. Newton, one of our retired sires, was trained to pull a cart and could pull small children around the farm. Ida is also pictured below pulling the cart. Clara is a retired certified therapy dog and enjoyed visiting our son’s special needs classroom, as well as a local nursing home. Our other Newfies get lots of love, attention, and training as well. All our adults have temperaments that are trusted and sweet around children. Our breeding dogs have the AKC recommended health testing - Penn Hip or OFA hip evaluation, OFA elbow evaluation, OFA heart, and DNA cystinuria testing. We breed for Black and Landseer.
